For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light… Ephesians 5:8

Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy. Deuteronomy 5:33	Continue in all of the ways that the Lord, your God, has commanded you. Continue in them so that you may live and prosper and that you may long dwell on the land of your inheritance. obedience reward following

And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! Luke 6:33	And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much. righteousness reward
Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Matthew 3:2	Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is close at hand. repentance kingdom heaven
Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live! Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper, just as you have claimed. Amos 5:14	Seek good and not evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you as you claim he is. holiness reward seeking
Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction. Zephaniah 2:3	Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land who obey his commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; then perhaps you may find shelter on the day of the Lord’s anger. seeking protection humility
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. John 13:34	I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you should also love one another. law love neighbor
But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit. Mark 13:11	When they arrest you and bring you to trial, do not be concerned beforehand about what you are to say. Simply say whatever is given to you when that time comes, for it will not be you who speak but the Holy Spirit. speaking Spirit worrying
Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you. Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 1 Peter 3:14	Yet even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are thereby blessed. Have no fear of others, and refuse to be intimidated by them. righteousness suffering fear
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20	Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? You have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body. worship Spirit life
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. Colossians 3:23-24	Whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly, as if you were doing it for the Lord and not for others, since you know that you will receive from the Lord an inheritance as your reward for you are serving the Lord Christ. reward life receiving
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Of all the marine animals, you may eat whatever has both fins and scales. You may not, however, eat marine animals that do not have both fins and scales. They are ceremonially unclean for you. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. John 15:10	If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. law love Jesus

So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 1 John 2:24	Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. 1 Peter 2:21	This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps. suffering following calling
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?

Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
