Why are you in despair, my soul? And why are you restless within me? Wait for God, for I will again praise Him For the help of His presence, my God. | Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. |
I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. | I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. |
Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. | But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. |
Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. | Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. |

For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. | For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. |

For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? | For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? |
