| Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. | You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. |

| Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. | Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. |
| In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. | In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? |
| But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. | And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. |
| Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? | Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? |

| Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. | Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. |
| He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? | Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith? |
| And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. | Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save. |
| And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. | And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. |
| For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. | For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. |
| Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. | Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. |
