| For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. | For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. |

| The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. | And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent. |
| If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. | And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. |
| Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. | And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. | Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith? | He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? |

| Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you.
