- One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after:
that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life,
to see Yahweh’s beauty,
and to inquire in his temple. - For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
- Yahweh preserves the foreigners.
He upholds the fatherless and widow,
but he turns the way of the wicked upside down. - You who love Yahweh, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of his saints.
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - Who is wise, that he may understand these things?
Who is prudent, that he may know them?
For the ways of Yahweh are right,
and the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - For whoever finds me finds life,
and will obtain favor from Yahweh. - For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
- But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.
- Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind.
Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down.
Yahweh loves the righteous. - May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and into the perseverance of Christ.
- It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed,
because his mercies don’t fail.
They are new every morning.
Great is your faithfulness. - Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.
- They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
- But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
- If anyone sins, doing any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done, though he didn’t know it, he is still guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.
- It shall be to you for a fringe, that you may see it, and remember all Yahweh’s commandments, and do them; and that you don’t follow your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to play the prostitute.
- Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.
- Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord.
- Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing,
and obtains favor of Yahweh. - A man’s steps are established by Yahweh.
He delights in his way. - Seek Yahweh and his strength.
Seek his face forever more. - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.” - Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.”
- So that with good courage we say,
“The Lord is my helper. I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me,
because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble.
He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
and release to those who are bound.
