| When they arrest you and bring you to trial, do not be concerned beforehand about what you are to say. | When God saw by their actions that they had turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not inflict upon them the punishment that he had threatened. | God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn’t do it. |
| If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is preferable for you to lose one part of your body than to have your whole body thrown into Gehenna. | If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna. |
