Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge. - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise. - For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
- For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
- Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
- Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
- And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
