No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1	Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have come to call not the righteous but sinners. And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching. For, while physical training is of some value, godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
