I will show how holy my great name is—the name on which you brought shame among the nations. Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. Rather, when people spoke as messengers of God, they did so under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. |
Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God. | Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God. |
