Bible Verses about 'Foot'

I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.If I should say, “My foot has slipped,” Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me.
Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.Do not turn to the right or to the left; Turn your foot from evil.
He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. He will not allow your foot to slip; He who watches over you will not slumber.
But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside. But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold. My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside.
But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne. And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King. But I say to you, take no oath at all, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God, nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me.
Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! He will again take pity on us; He will trample on our wrongdoings. Yes, You will cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea.
And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.
Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day. Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly. Then the Lord will be your delight. I will give you great honor and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob. I, the Lord, have spoken! If, because of the Sabbath, you restrain your foot From doing as you wish on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a pleasure, and the holy day of the Lord honorable, And honor it, desisting from your own ways, From seeking your own pleasure And speaking your own word, Then you will take delight in the Lord, And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.
For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps.
People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness. One who is slow to anger has great understanding; But one who is quick-tempered exalts foolishness.
Give us today the food we need.Give us this day our daily bread.
A wise child brings joy to a father; a foolish child brings grief to a mother.A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.
Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.A fool always loses his temper, But a wise person holds it back.
But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.
Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling.Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel.
Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words.Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.
Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels; they are asking for a beating.A fool’s lips bring strife, And his mouth invites beatings.
Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble. One who walks with wise people will be wise, But a companion of fools will suffer harm.
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless.
The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces. The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin.
Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.A fool does not delight in understanding, But in revealing his own mind.

Hiding hatred makes you a liar; slandering others makes you a fool. One who conceals hatred has lying lips, And one who spreads slander is a fool.
