Good faith (2/4)

Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good.Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now waiting for me is the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day—and not only to me, but to all those who have eagerly longed for his appearance.

We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.
O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him.Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains.The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds.
O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast.For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path.Then you will understand equity and justice as well as righteousness—every good path.

How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!How wonderful and delightful it is for brothers to live together in unity.
But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe.
But test everything; hold fast to what is good; abstain from every form of evil.Test everything, and hold fast to what is good. Avoid every form of evil.
And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.If I have the gift of prophecy and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all the faith necessary to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase.
The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.The powerful suffer want and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord want for no good thing.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of trouble; he protects those who take refuge in him.The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.
