Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him.Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. The Pharisees were saying to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” And He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and he and his companions became hungry; how he entered the house of God in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the consecrated bread, which is not lawful for anyone to eat except the priests, and he also gave it to those who were with him?” Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.”Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.

You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace.You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
