Hath (4/4)

You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you.You shall take heed to observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, and the decrees and statutes that he has given to you.
But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”He who called you is holy. Therefore, be holy yourselves in all your conduct. For Scripture says, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.Blessed be the God, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens.
And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him.
If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.
But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.As for me, I trust in your kindness; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because he has been good to me.
No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.All those who keep his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And the proof that he abides in us is the Spirit that he has given us.
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For the Lord gave us this command when he said, ‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles so that you may bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.Blessed is the man who perseveres when he is tempted, for when he has been proven, he will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. But Jesus has now received a ministry that is far superior, for he is the mediator of a far better covenant that has been established on better promises.
If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?
You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he protects the souls of his faithful ones and rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. Therefore, a Sabbath rest still remains for the people of God, since those who enter into God’s rest also cease from their own labors as God did from his.
It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich. For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly.Preferable is the little that the righteous possess than the great wealth of the wicked. For the power of the wicked will be overcome, but the Lord protects the righteous.
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.See what love the Father has bestowed on us, enabling us to be called the children of God, and that is what we are. If the world does not recognize us, that is because it did not know him.
“All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence. The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe in him already stands condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.Exalted at God’s right hand, he received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.
What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. In other words, God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, and not holding people’s transgressions against them, and he committed to us the message of reconciliation.
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)But God is rich in his mercy, and because he had such great love for us, he brought us to life with Christ when we were already dead through sin—it is by grace that you have been saved.
