For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.
Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him.Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him.
And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
But the Lord watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love.But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.
I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.
The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.

They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
We are witnesses of these things and so is the Holy Spirit, who is given by God to those who obey him.We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her firstborn son.
