| Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, and not rather that they should turn from their ways and live? | Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? |
| Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. | Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. |
| Better is a little that the righteous person has than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous. | A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. |
| Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. | Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. |

Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being. | And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? |
| Our steps are made firm by the Lord, when he delights in our way. | The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. |
