John (4/4)

  • In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
  • Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
  • If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  • But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
  • By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
  • This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
  • In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
  • Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
  • If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
  • Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
  • On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.”
  • Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
  • Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
  • In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
  • If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
  • For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
  • I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
  • Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
  • And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.
  • I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
  • Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
  • I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
  • So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
  • And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Bible verse of the day

And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
