| When you look at the tassels, you will remember the commandments of the Lord and keep them. | Then Peter asked, “Ananias, why has Satan so gained control of your heart that you lied to the Holy Spirit and retained part of the sale price of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not belong to you? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds yours? What caused you to contrive this scheme? You have lied not to men but to God.” | But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” |
| So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober. | Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. |
| Above all, maintain the fervor of your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. | And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” |
