- Do all things without complaining and arguing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world, holding up the word of life.
- Establish my footsteps in your word.
Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me. - Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.
- Make the path of your feet level.
Let all of your ways be established. - Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to Yahweh. - In you, Yahweh, I take refuge.
Let me never be disappointed.
Deliver me in your righteousness. - Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus.
- Oh come, let’s worship and bow down.
Let’s kneel before Yahweh, our Maker. - “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.
- Let everything that has breath praise Yah!
Praise Yah! - My son, attend to my words.
Turn your ear to my sayings.
Let them not depart from your eyes.
Keep them in the center of your heart. - And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
- Let all that you do be done in love.
- Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in your way of life, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
- Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen, how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.
- Let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts.
Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him,
to our God, for he will freely pardon. - Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer. - But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. - For,
“He who would love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good.
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you.
Bind them around your neck.
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor,
and good understanding in the sight of God and man. - Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.
- Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
- So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
