Lift up your eyes (3/4)

The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees— all the fruit trees—have dried up. And the people’s joy has dried up with them.The vine dries up; the fig tree languishes. Pomegranate, palm, and apple, all the trees of the field are dried up, and gladness dries up from the children of man.
For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven.And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up.
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me.Make your face shine on your servant; save me in your steadfast love!
Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.
Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.
A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.
The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.
Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers!And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

Bible verse of the day
