- I will magnify myself and sanctify myself, and I will make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.
- They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
- “I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am Yahweh,” says the Lord Yahweh, “when I am proven holy in you before their eyes.”
- If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.
- But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
- I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
- When I said, “My foot is slipping!”
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up. - Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers all wrongs. - When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.
- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
- Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his loving kindness. - He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- Sing to God! Sing praises to his name!
Extol him who rides on the clouds:
to Yah, his name!
Rejoice before him!
A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - He heals the broken in heart,
and binds up their wounds. - God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness.
- I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - He led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.
- He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.
- A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
- Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- While we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
- Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
before the sons of men! - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
