- Arise, O Lord!
O God, lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the humble. - I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you. - For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up. - Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;

For riches certainly make themselves wings;

Why then should I look upon a young woman? - The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace. - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry. - Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil. - And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’

Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;

It will be health to your flesh,

The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. - The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
- Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
