He must become greater; I must become less.He must increase, but I must decrease.

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’He is not here, but has risen. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.
Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.”For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.”
It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.
You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.
If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned.When he realizes his guilt in any of these and confesses the sin he has committed, he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed.
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
