34 Bible Verses about Listening - NIV & ESV


My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers,
and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.

and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.

So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
