Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.Establish my footsteps in your word. Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing.
