- For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
- When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
- For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people:
he will beautify the meek with salvation. - Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
- Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.
- If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day;
and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure,
nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. - A fool hath no delight in understanding,
but that his heart may discover itself. - Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
- The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. - I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
- I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. - In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. - Thou art my hiding place and my shield:
I hope in thy word. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. - For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
- Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - My son, if thine heart be wise,
my heart shall rejoice, even mine. - I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart. - In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation.For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.Next verse!With image
