- Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear unto my cry;
hold not thy peace at my tears:
for I am a stranger with thee,
and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. - My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
- He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
- Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
- Lord, all my desire is before thee;
and my groaning is not hid from thee. - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - When I kept silence, my bones waxed old
through my roaring all the day long. - I cried unto him with my mouth,
and he was extolled with my tongue. - The Lord is my portion, saith my soul;
therefore will I hope in him. - I acknowledge my sin unto thee,
and mine iniquity have I not hid.
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord;
and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. - Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
- For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,
saith the Lord. - If ye love me, keep my commandments.
- For thou art my rock and my fortress;
therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. - O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee. - In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul. - Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God. - Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. - Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. - Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me.
But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.Next verse!With image
