- Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. - Lord, all my desire is before you.
My groaning is not hidden from you. - Therefore you are great, Yahweh God. For there is no one like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him,
the saving help of my countenance, and my God. - I love you, Yahweh, my strength.
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. - I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart.
I will tell of all your marvelous works. - My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
for my expectation is from him. - But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
- Oh come, let’s worship and bow down.
Let’s kneel before Yahweh, our Maker. - I will exalt you, my God, the King.
I will praise your name forever and ever. - Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good.
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - For you will light my lamp, Yahweh.
My God will light up my darkness. - Give thanks to Yahweh! Call on his name!
Make his doings known among the peoples. - Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good,
for his loving kindness endures forever. - But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
being small among the clans of Judah,
out of you one will come out to me who is to be ruler in Israel;
whose goings out are from of old, from ancient times. - My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord.
Apart from you I have no good thing.” - Salvation belongs to Yahweh.
May your blessing be on your people. Selah. - Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!
- Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
before the sons of men! - Listen, my son, and receive my sayings.
The years of your life will be many. - You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace,
because he trusts in you. - With my whole heart I have sought you.
Don’t let me wander from your commandments. - ‘Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh; ‘I will not look in anger on you, for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will not keep anger forever.’
- You who love Yahweh, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of his saints.
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for you.
