One who walks with wise people will be wise, But a companion of fools will suffer harm.Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age.For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.
So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people.Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
Do not participate in the useless deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife, But wisdom is with those who receive counsel.Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
I will give thanks to You, Lord, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations.I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
The vine has dried up And the fig tree has withered; The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree, All the trees of the field have dried up. Indeed, joy has dried up From the sons of mankind.The vine is dried up and the fig tree is withered; the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree— all the trees of the field—are dried up. How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.

It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Now whenever you fast, do not make a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they distort their faces so that they will be noticed by people when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

And let’s consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
