Person (3/4)

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.
For You bless the righteous person, Lord, You surround him with favor as with a shield. For you bless the godly, O Lord; you surround them with your shield of love.
Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty, But humility goes before honor.Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor.
Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.
It is a trap for a person to say carelessly, “It is holy!” And after the vows to make inquiry.Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost.
Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines, So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.
Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words.
Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments.Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.
For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless. If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
A person of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.
But the one who did not know it, and committed acts deserving of a beating, will receive only a few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
And he would answer and say to them, “The one who has two tunics is to share with the one who has none; and the one who has food is to do likewise.”John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.
For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not reach out and put your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord.“All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence.

Realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and worldly, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, homosexuals, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted. For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders. The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God.
