Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.
Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
My son, obey your father’s commands, and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction.My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
Can he walk on hot coals and not blister his feet?Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched?
All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech.To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
