Proverbs 3:5 (5/6)

It is a snare to say rashly, “It is holy,” and to reflect only after making vows.It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows.

The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; The simple pass on and are punished.

The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me.Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me.
