- When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
