Right (2/4)

Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest.
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am.
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!
For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices.
But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled. But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.”
He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.
Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit. Then I observed that most people are motivated to success because they envy their neighbors. But this, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time!
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.
All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
