And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. The lips of the godly speak helpful words, but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words.

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. But most of all, my brothers and sisters, never take an oath, by heaven or earth or anything else. Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. This is the true God, and eternal life. And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
