| Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. | So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. | So is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do. |

| What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. | What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” |
| But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. | But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. |
| For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. | For this cause a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh. |
| Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. | You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me. |
| And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. | A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ |
| Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. | You shall not misuse the name of Yahweh your God; for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name. |
| And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. | It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. |
