Sing over me (4/4)

He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
And he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side. The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free.I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.
O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don’t let me be disgraced. Save me, for you do what is right. In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
O Lord, if you heal me, I will be truly healed; if you save me, I will be truly saved. My praises are for you alone!Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me. Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me.Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
The Lord’s home reaches up to the heavens, while its foundation is on the earth. He draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land. The Lord is his name!It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
In those days when you pray, I will listen. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
One Sabbath day as Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!” Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God! But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day. “There are six days of the week for working,” he said to the crowd. “Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath.” But the Lord replied, “You hypocrites! Each of you works on the Sabbath day! Don’t you untie your ox or your donkey from its stall on the Sabbath and lead it out for water? This dear woman, a daughter of Abraham, has been held in bondage by Satan for eighteen years. Isn’t it right that she be released, even on the Sabbath?” This shamed his enemies, but all the people rejoiced at the wonderful things he did.And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
