So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. | So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. |
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. | But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; The punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed. |

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. | Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man. |
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. | Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. |
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. | When pride comes, then comes dishonor; But with the humble there is wisdom. |
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. | And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. |
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. | When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. |
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. | Before the mountains were born Or You gave birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. |
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. | And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness. |
And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. | And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died. |
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. | Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent over double, and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your sickness.” And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she stood up straight again, and began glorifying God. But the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, “There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, does each of you on the Sabbath not untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it? And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this restraint on the Sabbath day?” And as He said this, all His opponents were being humiliated; and the entire crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him. |
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. | While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. |
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. | All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. |
When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. | If I should say, “My foot has slipped,” Your faithfulness, Lord, will support me. |
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? | My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? |
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. | But he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; see, here is the place where they laid Him.” |
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. | When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. |
According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me. | As they had their pasture, they became satisfied, And as they became satisfied, their heart became proud; Therefore they forgot Me. |
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. | And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment. |
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. | Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in your power to do it. |
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. | For if we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, so also God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. |
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. | Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. |
I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. | I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was exalted with my tongue. |
When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. | When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long. |
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. | The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. |
