But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe. This water prefigured Baptism, which now saves you. But now the righteousness of God that is attested by the Law and the Prophets has been manifested apart from law: the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them. Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.
