What then should we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
