Let your speech always be gracious and seasoned with wisdom, so that you will know how to respond properly to all.
As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.The entire community of believers was united in heart and soul. No one claimed any of his possessions as his own, for everything was held in common.

She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’” This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.The Lord God then formed a woman out of the rib that he had taken from the man. He brought her before the man. The man said, “This one is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman because she was taken from man.” This is why a man leaves his father and his mother and joins with a wife, and the two become one flesh.
“Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
