Up (2/4)

  • For you will light my lamp, Yahweh.
My God will light up my darkness.
  • But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
  • He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
  • Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it.
  • Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
    before the sons of men!
  • But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.
  • Because your loving kindness is better than life,
    my lips shall praise you.
So I will bless you while I live.
I will lift up my hands in your name.
  • Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
  • You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
  • Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning,
    for I trust in you.
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
for I lift up my soul to you.
  • Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
  • Yahweh, you have searched me,
    and you know me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up.
You perceive my thoughts from afar.
  • While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing, who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”
  • Yahweh said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the stone tablets with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them.”
  • Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.
  • I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.
  • A perverse man stirs up strife.
    A whisperer separates close friends.
  • But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.
  • They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
  • Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.
  • But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
  • Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.
  • He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.
  • Yahweh bless you, and keep you.
Yahweh make his face to shine on you,
    and be gracious to you.
Yahweh lift up his face toward you,
    and give you peace.
  • Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great:
God was revealed in the flesh,
    justified in the spirit,
    seen by angels,
    preached among the nations,
    believed on in the world,
    and received up in glory.

But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
