| The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him. | This saying can be trusted: If we have died with him, we shall also live with him. |
| No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. | No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is made complete in us. |
