| God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. | Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. |
| In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away! | I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. |

| Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. | Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. | Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die. |
| Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise. | By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom. |
| Who has done such mighty deeds, summoning each new generation from the beginning of time? It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last. I alone am he. | Who has performed and done it, Calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, the Lord, am the first; And with the last I am He.’ |
