For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.

If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.
