| If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. | All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. |
| And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. | If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. |

Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. | Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. |
| For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
| You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house. | How I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house. |
| Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. | Seek good, and not evil, that you may live; and so Yahweh, the God of Armies, will be with you, as you say. |

| Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. | Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. |
| So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? | He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith? |
| And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. | I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them. |
| You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. | You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace. |
