For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God. Because no prophecy ever came by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You,
And my soul, which You have redeemed. For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’Next verse! With image My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, And my soul, which You have redeemed.Personal Bible reading plan
