- I will never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have given me life. - And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
- Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. - Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.
- In You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. - Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
- Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
- Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness. - And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.
- Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be greatly moved. - For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
- Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
- For there is not a just man on earth who does good
And does not sin. - And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
- Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
- Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
- Direct my steps by Your word,
And let no iniquity have dominion over me. - But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
- Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”
But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” - He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver;
Nor he who loves abundance, with increase.
This also is vanity. - Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
- Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
- They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
- What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
- And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. - Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. - Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
- So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”
- But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
- For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
- May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us.
- What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
- What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
- Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
- But let justice run down like water,
And righteousness like a mighty stream. - For with God nothing will be impossible.
- Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. - I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. - The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke. - And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
- Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit. - Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man. - The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
And will not at all acquit the wicked.
The Lord has His way
In the whirlwind and in the storm,
And the clouds are the dust of His feet. - “For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the Lord, who has mercy on you. - Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
