Chinese (traditional)
Pride brings a person low,
but the lowly in spirit gain honor. A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. One's pride will bring him low,
but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. A man’s pride will bring him low,
But the humble in spirit will retain honor. Pride ends in humiliation,
while humility brings honor. A person's pride will bring humiliation,
but one who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor. A man’s pride brings him low,
but one of lowly spirit gains honor. A person’s pride will bring him low,
But a humble spirit will obtain honor. A man’s pride will bring him low,
but lowly souls will rise to honor. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
