| For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. | For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. |

| We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. | For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him. | For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake. |
