But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.”And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass.I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
A person’s riches may ransom their life, but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes.The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.
